Just You 


I don't think it would be a bad thing if you wanted to hang out sometime
sadly I don't see this happening any time soon, or even anytime later, at all.
So Please don't think poorly of my style I have rocked this for miles
I am standing, still tall.

I can see you everyday you walk away and I know that you pose for me.
This can’t be imagination nor slick hyperbole just want to let you know.
There is still a way to me if you want it maybe not that much but really feeling it all.

The wilderness is lonely and dangerous but my life does not have to be that way.
If I knew how to find you when you were at your weakest I would go after all I could get.

I am not afraid to say that you humble me in all the ways that matter.

Can we rise to meet the rest of the days we may share or no?

When I finally falter when the light dims to not.
Hopeful there is yet more light on the other side.
I want it to be that you knew that I had enough when you were with me.

It could be that I never met anyone like you, or made things up about you that aren’t there.
Likely that you never saw me the way I made up that you might have.
There is all of this and yet here I stand oh my baby.

We should be lovers you should look to me for safety and comfort.
If you wanted me you wouldn’t even have to call. Right now is too long
for anyone like you to have to wait, and now I’m gonna have to go.

Never in your mind was I after you were sleeping. Rising to this
would be quite the day for me. If you are ever lonely or tired
or cold or all of these. All you need to do is be there.
